Part ii - Frequently Asked Questions or FAQWQA

I've gotten a lot of questions about the last post to this blog. Most of them fall in to a couple of different categories - What, When, and How. I though it might be important to answer them here. I can't get to them all in this posts, but keep asking them. I'll get to them eventually...

What -
Q - What was up with all the Quit Smoking Stuff? It kinda confused me. I wasn't sure what you were taking about.
A - You're guys are unbelievable. The first thing I said was, this was going to help a community. If you get nothing else, know that we believe we can help a lot of people. Besides I just happened to be testing the graphics on a campaign I'm working on. What we're doing is much bigger than one conversation with you.

When
When was that last statement made?
The second part of the question and the answer comes from a conversation between me and the CEO of a Trillion dollar bank in 2002. I'd lost it after his response because I was asking them join us in helping the community. Whether it was my response or the topic, helping the community is the what in What We are doing.

How
Ok, thinking back, maybe I was a little "short". I figured since Corporate America employed the most capable people, they would at least be interested in figuring how to do the What. Now imagine, the How being left up to one person - Broke, Black, and Beligured. Well, the How would have taken a moment to figure out.

A - Broke, Black, and Beligured. The question came from me when I was a kid - "what was it like to be a slave", referring to a picture of a relative. As strange as it was to have ever said that or havinge been a human being labeled that, I never wanted to be that. That or a chicken.

Ok that barely answers anything, but maybe we've got some time to spend together.
W.E.B. Duboise often talked about the Duality of Blackness and I've often thought about it's effect on my being whatever I was perceived to be and was to become. If "that" is a potential condtion of my group or family I felt I needed to know more about it.

We must do more to project That as we see it in our cultures, our businesses, and the history we'll leave through our art. I'm working on it. Will you join me? And feel free to help someone quit smoking.

Part i - The Balls To Do It

Here's your chance to play a part - Send me your answer to this question -
"What would U do to stop smoking?"
Just e-mail me your answer or send it to in writing to:
Witherspoon Marketing Group
XTRA
6 E. Monroe
Chicago IL. 60603
-or-
Street Tag XTRA to 78247 if you'd like to play an even bigger part as an artist, with your product or as a service provider in this campaign. You may get invited to perform, deliver your product or service as part of Your Entertainment network.

I'll reply with information on our next get together and give you a webpage link to see a clip from our most recent shows and an introduction U to some of the artists and businesses already singing on the network.
If you don't use cell phone messaging, get your great-great grandkids to help you!

We'll be moving extremely fast to compete with the big 5 music companies, The major studios & in general -
companies you think you'recapable of competing with.
So, if you really plan to get in the game, please be prepared to do so. When you're part of the network we'll even help you effectively and efficiently reach out to those companies should you choose to do so. When you receive that keyword you'll have access to all of my phone numbers.

Your statement on smoking will be seen beginning 1.01.07 on MegaTouch Gaming displays at Benningan's throughout the Chicago area. StreetTag my keyword when your Statement pops up and I'll give you something. (yeah, tell your friends and family to look out after you.) and It depends... (before you ask).

It'll be fun, you'll be getting involved in your city, community, or industry without over-occupying your time or personal life. Try it now! You can check out our artists and art (considering what some if us have to go through to get our businesses rollin - our businesses are our art!).

Some of the Chicago folks using StreetTags are Nikki Lynette [NikkiL], [Grindtime Entertainment [GrindTime ], Congo Square Theatre [CONGO], DJ I.N.C. [INC], Tammy McCann [TAMMY], ChiLoc and the 2006 National Political Convention(HIPHOP]. StreetTags are powered worldwide by QTags and others include Red Robin Restaurants [RRMARQE], San Diego Sheriff's Dept [sdsheriff] (Arena Media Networks) Popeyes Restaurants [popeyes] (via Fogarty Klein Monroe Agency); The Upper Hand [upperhand, girltalk], Voter Registration [vote06]; FYE Store [nycgoody], Applebees [nycgoody]; JustPetStrollers [nycgoody], GoMobi [nycgoody].

Try any one of them . It does get dizzing. So if you ever need a break from anyone just text STOP to 78247 and they'll stop until you want to hop back on the train. Try that with radio or TV. We had the balls to do it. We XtraMedium and the Aspire Digital Networks! It's been done before.
